What has been delivered

Eesti Energia AS, the foremost electricity provider in the Baltics, set out to advance its energy services by introducing smart energy storage solutions for its customers. The objective was to enable customers to save on electricity expenses and sell surplus energy back to the grid when possible. We collaborated with Eesti Energia to deliver UI Development, Custom Software Development, and API Development through a team comprising three backend developers and a project manager. Leveraging technologies such as Java, Spring, Kafka, gRPC, Postgres, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Azure, and React, we built an application for smart home battery management and grid integration as part of a virtual power plant (VPP) approach. The project’s pilot phase successfully included three locations equipped with solar panels and battery storage, supporting efficient energy management and enhancing grid stability across Enefit’s home markets.

Nowadays, finding good quality developers is a lot of work. Netcorp helped us ease that problem. Compared to other companies on the market, Netcorp offered developers who had really high standards, in the amount that was needed for us. Netcorp’s services can be described as very trustworthy. We get our responses very fast, and the profiles that we get prove their quality. Communication with them is very easy.

It feels really good that Netcorp is our partner. Now, we can focus on realizing new ideas and delivering business value rather than dealing with IT labor market challenges. I would recommend Netcorp to any company that values high-quality delivery and good cooperation.

– Andri Vanem, Head of Software Development of Estonian Energy
